Seller made fraudulent refund request on a non return item and no contact from ebay.

Hello, I have a problem with a buyer that has made a fradulant "item was not as descibed" refund request and paypal/ebay has withdrawn the wrong amount of money "way to much" from my paypal account while they stay silent. I have contacted the buyer with prove of him lying about the item and with no luck and I have reported the buyer to ebay, but still no communication form ebay. Now when I call Paypal they say that I have to contact ebay but that is kinda impossible. So I guess this is my last resort to getting any real answers to what to do in this situation?

Thank you all for replying so fast, I called ebay on the number listed for US callers. Got aound to talk to CS and he said that the case was still open and ebay has not been requested to act on the case. There is some kind of glitch where the buyer only has the choise to involve ebay, something about crossplatform thing in the ebay system. So he suggested me to try to write a message on ehay help & contact. So im going to do this on ebay france (there the buyer is from). I will update you all on the progress.

It is more likely that the buyer will get a refund for both items even if they ship back an empty box.  Neither PayPal nor ebay will "unconbine" the payment in these circumstances.  You ship more than one item together when one payment is made,  the seller is on the hook for the whole amount.

Exactly. Another reason for ebay to keep their hands out of this. They can't even do a simple return of a single item in a multi-item purchase, like EVERY other website can.
