The popularity of the Seller School is starting to make more sense.
There is a new Post on e-bay for Business on Facebook about Sellers earning Badges by completing their Seller School courses

So you think the attraction of the seller school might be the awarding of a badge rather than the actual information that might be imparted? 😂
I think you're onto something there! 🤣

That's helpful, yet also confusing. Isn't that a completely different set of badges? Which are just as pointless as the ones here?

I will no longer promote the seller school as a path to selling.

What

What badges are they handing out, how to get scammed, supporting eBay on posting boards, how to get scr**** by eBay and like it or how to lay blame on sellers when eBay allows scams.

Through all the crying and moaning, you continue to sell here. Incredible.

Yes, it appears it is.
It does explain why suddenly posters were excited to complete 66 classes, etc.
I had been linking to seller school in responses. Won't do that again.

the links both go to facebook
anyways, not sure what a badge is suppose to do. Is it that those who are using seller school think a badge for it will increase their sales? Is it that the badges are displayed on listings? 😆... that will get them squat while the TRS badges may help a tiny tiny bit, by now most don't give flying squirrel what badge a seller has, it's the item + price and that's typically all they care about. My 2 cents anyways.

Sorry about the 2nd link - just copied it from their big Facebook post (e-Bay's link). Not surprised something else is non-functional. Lol
Yes, would image these "feel -good" Seller badges meant little and certainly nothing towards Selling credibility on the site.
We cannot convince our friendly SL posters that flooding the site with posts is not a viable way to earn Selling points, the badges will play right into that, would imagine. Likely worse.
Explains the myriad of frantic threads - Help, I cannot login to Seller School. 😉🙃🙄

last i knew seller school offered no "benefits" to sellers in connection to selling items. The "benefit" was advice on how to create listings etc... There is a "Advanced Seller School" for more experienced sellers, and that offers no perks to selling either, just advice. Unless something changed I am not aware of.

While both links go to Facebook, the second link lands on this message:
If you click on the "Follow Link" button, it does indeed take you to the eBay page that describes their seller school.
