Hello I'm located near Elgin IL & am partly disabled.
I'm in need of someone to sell & ship items for me... We can negotiate a very fair % for you to keep. Thank you so much!

You'll probably not find anyone here that will take you up on your offer. I'd suggest you advertise locally. Good luck.

Consider googling "ebay consignment elgin il"

I'm not far from Elgin, although I'm guessing you're West of Elgin, otherwise you'd say you're close to Schaumburg (just my guess...)
I did consignment for family. Got paid well. Also was given pretty much full autonomy. Still probably the biggest pain I've ever had to deal with. I had a supplier of mine who I was buying from offer for me to sell on consignment so I would earn my margin and not have to make the upfront capital investment to purchase/own.
It works for some, but most wouldn't be interested. Some may be desperate enough to do it, but I think most EBay sellers rather have the full autonomy and not have to answer to anybody. You could sell me something where I'll make a 40% profit margin, or you could offer me a 40% commission and I don't have to pay up front or own the item. I'll choose to buy and make it as profit, over consignment/commission every day. The autonomy is so key.
Good luck to you, truly. But working with someone can be tough, especially if they are an independent seller used to being independent. I think you need someone whose business model is designed around consignment.

Depending on your products, and considering eBay's present state of affairs, being paid a % is not so attractive. For example, 50% of a $20 sale (or any sale) is not worth the time if it doesn't sell at all.

Thank you, I wasn't sure how people are doing it these days.

OK thank you! I had seen some other posts seeking similar so I figured it was worth a try.

If you read those threads, though, you would have seen that it's a non-starter. eBay once had a Trading Assistant program, and that failed. Later they tried again with eBay Valet, and it failed. The fact is that selling for others has so many problems and pitfalls that most sellers won't even consider it.
If you do find someone, be sure to have a clear, clean, detailed written contract.
