This sounds like fun!
Likes = Christmas tree ornaments, bookmarks, journals, candy canes, $5 gift card to Chick-fil-a
Dislikes = nuts (allergic), anything tiny/small print (vision impaired on the left), anything that requires assembly (woeful at that chore, unfortunately) and ditto on the glitter 🎄🎅🌟👼🛷🦌

This sounds like a great idea. I'm excited to participate. I'm already coming up with ideas for a gift.
Likes, Salt & Pepper shakers, kooky ones, not "normal". Odd ball stuff. Pick something from you junk box.
Dislikes, I don't really have any. Except nuts. I'm excited to get whatever. Kids are all grown, and I am old.
Thank you
Penny

So $20 is the minimum value for a gift? And there's no maximum?

I'd like to participate..
Likes: Anything related to the 80"s (1980's).. & Lighthouses
Dislikes: Really don't have any... I just like these kind of things...

Translation is - it's only supposed to be $20 value per parcel but usually people tend to go a bit over.
IIRC one year it was $20 min value or whatever you could fit in a large FR box.

Okay. Well, I'll pass then. I did this once before, on another board, and I thought it was just for fun, bought something modestly priced that that was silly but useful and related to the subject of that board. I was mortified to receive something delivered overnight express from a purveyor of extraordinarily expensive gift baskets and then see photos of other gifts that were in that same, or even higher, price range. I guess I'm used to gift exchanges among non-family/friends with a maximum limit, not a minimum limit.
Anyhow, I hope everyone else has fun with it, and I don't mean to be grinchy, but $20 minimum and no upper limit is too rich for my blood.

Likes: Warm fuzzy socks. ( even though I live in AZ LOL) Dark chocolate. Vintage Christmas ornaments.
eBay shipping supplies if you have an abundance of something you don't use.
Dislikes: anything scented, I am allergic.
Really getting anything is fun, I really like getting things that are from your home town, food related etc. Someone sent me moonpies from Tennessee one year since that's where they live and where the moonpies are made. I never had one before! They were pretty tasty.

I have done these before and I too would hate to spend $20 range + shipping and have someone (anyone) be disappointed. I get that folks might go over - but think we should stick to the spirit of the exchange and the $20 range + shipping/card.
I guess I mis-read this initially - as that is what I thought I would likely spend. If you guys typically rawk the Kasbah......I might need to pass also. (was looking forward to this). 😞
Can we get some clarification on this? Others might be hesitant to join in as well. Thanks in advance.
