I realized that I put the wrong item in a package going to Canada. Tried to get it before the truck left my local USPS but they were not willing to go through the already packed truck to find it. This was shipped through eBay Delivery Services and has a tracking beginning with #ESUS. I called USPS to see about a package intercept but they said they do not recognize tracking numbers beginning with ESUS. I googled a little and read something about there being two tracking numbers... an initial one(possibly this ESUS one) and then another once it gets to the distribution center. Who can I contact or who handles these ESUS packages so I can possibly intercept it?

Go into your manage shipping labels section. See if you can reprint that postage label. The “other” domestic USPS tracking number should be somewhere on that label. I think it starts with a 9. Even if you can’t reprint that label, just see if you can open it to view it at least somehow. Contact USPS to intercept it using that “other” tracking. Good luck.

Ok thanks. I just checked and I see the "other" tracking number. Since it is international shipping to Canada it begins with LZ. The ESUS thing is a reference number for Ebay shipping service. I will contact USPS in the morning, but here is what concerns me... under eligible items for intercept, it only mentions (1)domestic packages but then it mentions (2)packages under certain dimensions and weight. I am hoping international shipments can be intercepted. Also hoping that Ebay's initial shipping to it's distribution center counts as domestic so that in case international shipments are not eligible for intercept, possibly shipment to that center counts as domestic and qualifies as eligible.

I don’t have personal experience with package intercepts. But yea, I forgot about the LZ to Canada. eBay changed that I think a few months back.
Canada is the only country for eBay international standard shipping that doesn’t have a 9… tracking. I believe (I haven’t confirmed this with eBay agents or anyone in this board) eBay made this change because they found it cheaper/easier overall for them to bypass the distribution center for Canadian shipments. LZ is an international tracking number. If my hunch is correct, I’m afraid you might be out of luck. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still try… if the item is worth it then I say go for it and good luck.

Thanks and yeah, it is definitely at a price that makes it worth it. Like you, I am thinking I may be out of luck with this being eligible for intercept but best believe I'm giving USPS a call tomorrow morning.
