Scammers

I have been scammed over and over. Since March 5 scams, all the same. Purchase 1 of my 5 gram gold bars. 1st one never paid. Held up my sale. Next, I placed immediate pay, they paid, 48 hrs later cancelled stating unauthorized use of CC and filed for refund. After a week or so filed with Paypal thru their CC company for all charges refunded. I can figure out now all four bars sold were scammers and I lost all the way around. Trouble is eBay is not intelligent enough to have anyway to receive help from them. Why can't they recognize all were the same scammers just different names? eBay fails to stop these scammers. They are working WITH the scammers. Can anyone help?

If a buyer files an unauthorized use chargeback, and you shipped to the payment address, Paypal is supposed to cover you for that. All you need is proof of shipment to the address. Did you enter that into the case?

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

That is correct.   However, in reviewing the PayPal User Agreement I found an interesting line under "Ineligible Items or Transaction (No Seller Protection)"   It is worded in a peculiar manner:

Payments made in respect of gold (whether in physical form or in exchange-traded form.

It seems to suggest there is no seller protection if you sell gold?

So you still have the items and your fees in all cases have been refunded.

Doesn't that mean these were scam attempts and that you lost nothing? Or am I missing something here?

Why anyone would sell valuable items on ebay boggles my mind. Ebay is so full of scammers and the reason for this is that ebay allows it. I have had my fair share of scammers and have learned my lessons. The topics in this forum seem to be more and more about sellers getting scammed.  Eventually something will have to be done if ebay management wakes up

How is someone not paying for an auction a scam?

How do you know if they were all the same scammer with different names?
