I got screwed out of 1000$ on selling my laptop, then 2.5 weeks later of waiting I get paid out but all due to a label that was to been canceled is the one the were monitoring the whole **bleep** time. Then they were like oh if you go here and change the tracking number the system will correct itself. I wanted to reach through phone and struggle then. All during this the buyer conned me out of my laptop and I got paid 850$ plus got stuck paying for both shipping labels and what the hell a 150$ fee just for posting the sell. This place is a **bleep** joke. There Is help ain't worth a **bleep**. There is a 800 number for customer service and I will get my money back or my lawyers will be contacting them.

Why didn't you cancel the unused label in Track and manage your shipments ?
Then you buy another, it takes 3-4 weeks to receive a refund for cancelled labels.
There is no 800 number to call ebay, ebay hasn't had a phone number that takes incoming calls since covid.
How did the buyer con you out of a laptop when it seems the laptop was paid for?

So, you got screwed out of a $1000 laptop by getting paid $850, then paying $150 in fees and 2 labels? This doesn't make sense.

Go get 'em, Tiger!

You actually need to read the terms and conditions on selling something on Ebay which you agreed to before clicking submit. A lawyer will tell you the same thing. Yes $150 in fees for $1000 sale is correct. There is no joke here. It's business. You agreed to it.

A brand new seller shouldn't be selling a $1000 item.

If you bought your labels through Ebay...it will show both tracking numbers
even if you cancelled the label.
I'm assuming that you did not buy it through Ebay?
I know it is super frustrating
but
get the updated tracking in there as quick as possible if that's what they said is holding it up.
I assume you are peeved because you are waiting for the hold to be lifted so you can get your money?
I'm sorta confused about the rest of the story...
but is your buyer claiming it wasn't delivered?
Really sorry you're having so much frustration.

I believe he is upset because they UNpaid the $850
He hasn't gotten reimbursed for the $150 in fees
Sounds like buyer opened a claim
and buyer ended up with the the laptop.

I've been selling here since 2002 or something and I swear to Dog, I would never sell a $1000 laptop here.

"There is a 800 number for customer service and I will get my money back or my lawyers will be contacting them."
Don't waste money on lawyers. The first thing they will do is the thing you did not; read eBay's terms in the user agreement. They will then charge you $250+ and send you on your way. Now that's the real scam.

or my lawyers will be contacting them.
My I suggest the law firm of:
Dewey, Cheatem and Howe?

Just some quick calculations:
$1080 offer price
Tax at 6%(guessing) and lets say $30 dollars to ship it Priority mail.
Total would be $1174.80.
Ebay fees at 7.35% (for the category) : $86.35+.40= $86.75.
Costs then would be 86.75, plus the original shipping $30, and apparently a second shipping $30 again. (now assuming the labels were bought at retail price. If through eBay, they would be around half that or so)
And if they promoted the item, that would be another portion. From the sound of the fees, they may have promoted as well, which adds more fees.
Sounds like a bad spot to be in. Sorry for your luck, but I don't have a route to suggest since this was sold back on July 28th.

Almost all lawyers will give you a free hour consultation. The OP has nothing to lose by calling a dozen trial lawyers and setting up a dozen free consultations.
I’m sure after meeting with a dozen trial lawyers the OP will know if he has a case or not.

It makes perfect sense if it's your first/only listing & sale and you didn't read all the details about the fees eBay charges for the services they provide. Or how you can't sue them because you agreed to go thru their mediation process when you agreed to the Seller Terms of Service.

It's not a scam, though - it's payment for services rendered. It's not the lawyer's fault that someone doesn't read the user agreement.
