Scammed

I got scammed twice in 2 weeks bye to sound this buyers claiming issues with the item they purchase that are absolutely 100% not true. Now I lose out my money's on hold they get their money back and they're returning shawty product back to me and eBay does nothing or says nothing about it whatsoever I have no leverage to push back how many seller in between the two items we're talking $550. This is pretty serious to me now I have a bad feedback for somebody who claim that I open pokémon cards and took some out and sold them to him. I'm 42-year-old fireman, I don't know anything about pokémon. I got a few items in a lot that I purchased at an auction and decided to put them in a box together and sell them to somebody that would be more interested in them than me. Now my items are being returned trashed and opened in pilford and I'm losing my money. If anybody going to afford time to give me a hand with this and tell me if there's any recourse I'd appreciate it thank you very much.

1. Most importantly, never sell anything on eBay that you do not know anything about.

2. If the claims have been for item not as described, you accept the return, provide a label, refund once you get the items back

3. If the claims are for items not received you need to upload the tracking into the open case to prove delivery

4. If a buyer does not pay, you follow procedures to issue a strike to that buyer.

5. Buyers can not get negative FB and you can NOT leave a positive feedback for a buyer with a negative comment. If they report it you may find your account restricted.

You are a very new seller, with very unhappy buyers, I would not be continuing on eBay until you research a lot more on how this site works.

@interstellar_reseller

One thing I noticed about some of your listings, you say the boxes are damaged or the box is open, but listing them as brand new.

That's asking for trouble when you do that.

Sorry, there's no recourse.

If the buyer files an INAD, seller is SOL, true or not.

Have a great day.

There is no recourse.

Here's my advice for the future.

Handle this as if the the seller is 100% telling the truth.

A) Accept the return.

B) Pay for return shipping -or- let the buyer keep the item(s).

C) Refund the buyer.

Ebay offers buyers a MBG (money back guarantee).

In a he said/she said situation ebay will always find in favor of the buyer.

i looked at some of your listings and i would not be listing that stuff as new when its a open box and taped up.  also looked at your tube radio thing you have and that old and marked as new. then you put in the description you dont know hat this things all about. you should be listing it as untested. the most honest you can be with that stuff the better. you better  check every thing functions as it should and tubes are fully tested. i being particular about that item as i sell tools and vintage electronics mostly and the electronic crowd is a tough crowd to sell to. Best to be completely up front about your stuff. also the wording on your description as if your talking to your friend. it should be direct info for the most part. people will twist on you if you are not direct enough for majority of people to understand what you understand if that makes sense.  its a tough place to sell but follow a few rules and this place can be a good place for help but you also need to weed out the people that are on here that like to feed your post in another direction.

some rules i would say are good

never be rude no matter what.

dont let them stress you out

sometimes there are huge red flags and just know but just assume the buyer is honest till he or she returns the item.

lot of people fishing for partial refund i find. always return for refund. most will not return.

shipping is important always pack well and dont leave stuff floating around in a box.

i am sure i can think of a lot more but all this info will take you a long way.

in between the two items we're talking $550.

Did you pay $550 for the items or did you sell them for $550?

Big difference.

If the item are trashed on return you are out only the buying price+ your fees+shipping costs+ your time.

Which, if you are doing business right, should be less than $550.

Even if you look on this as a side gig, you are running a business and should plan to act as if you are running a business.

And don't forget to keep records.

EBay is required to issue a 1099 to any member who sells over $600 worth of goods annually.

I am very sorry about your rocky start to selling on eBay.

It is important to acknowledge that a buyer’s complaint does not automatically mean that you are being scammed. After reading the negative feedback, it appears that your customer feels scammed.

By selling something you were not familiar with, you may well have inadvertently sold an item that was tampered with (before it came into your possession), possibly making that listing a legitimate Not As Described case.

Sellers are wholly responsible for the correctness of information in their listings.  The buyer may have been justified in pursuing satisfaction for the possible mistake.
