Yes, that's a very common scam.
eBay doesn't work that way. They do not have any warehouse, they do not get involved in transactions that originate on other sites such as Craigslist or Facebook. If you go along with it you will get a fake email that seems to be from eBay but is actually from the scammer.
Congratulations on spotting this scam and being cautious. Almost every day we see posts that do not have happy endings, like this:

This looks like a scam to me. Did you find the sale on Ebay or was it just randomly posted somewhere? If it's not thru Ebay motors, it's probably not an ebay transaction. That seller doesn't need you to send them your address, etc. it would show up on the invoice after the car is sold. The shipping part seems sketchy as well. I would move on and look elsewhere.

I saw it on Facebook, but I couldn’t find it in Ebay.

Pretty much yep.
Common one too.

Sellers do not initiate the transaction.
eBay doesn't need a seller to give eBay your name and address, etc. They know exactly who you are when bid or hit the buy button on eBay.
eBay doesn't handle payment arrangements and there's no inspection period. Vehicles can't be returned.
If you give this scammer your info they'll send you a fake invoice pretending to be from eBay. The phone and email connects to the scammer.
Report the fraudulent ad on the site you found it.

Yes it's a very common SCAM. That is not how eBay works. They don't ever hold money. No one ships a truck for a free inspection. It would cost 1200.00 or more each way. Only items listed on eBay are eBay sales. eBay never assists in sales or payments of items on other sites. It has to be listed here to be an eBay sale. There is NO other way. eBay will never ask you to buy gift cards to pay.
Take a look at this !

It is a complete and total scam. It is not a new scam, either. You can Google key phrases from that message and find many other instances of the same scam using the same message(s). There is no real truck to buy; the scammer just collects images off the Internet. (You can do a Google Image search as well, and probably find the same truck photos used in multiple fake sales.)
