Scam?

I have recently sold a product and they first asked me to go through the PayPal app even though you can pay on PayPal through eBay. They then asked me to buy a 300$ apple gift card and ship it to them with the package. He said he would pay extra for gas/inconvenience and shipping(75$total) and then he said he was a marine . He then said he paid and I got a email that said I need to email customerpayment.center@mail.com pictures of the scratched off gift card to receive the full payment from him for the 300$ gift card and the item I was selling. I’m suspicious and I need to be sure that they’re trying to scam me

Of course you can sell whatever you want, the other poster was trying to gently explain that newer sellers, especially of high value items, are a definite scam magnet. It was good advice, take it or ignore it as you choose.

Rather than canceling the transaction, wait the 4 days until you can cancel based on "Buyer didn't pay" so he gets a strike that might block him from scamming other sellers.

@aisc-5475 ^^^ This.

I'd like to think that you already cancelled the first sale, citing 'Buyer didn't pay'... if they didn't. Now's your chance...
