Sales are way down. Anyone have this happening too?

Hi all,  

We have been sellers on Ebay for well over 15 years.  We have a small business out of our home.  We sold over $75,000 last year on Ebay and were on track to sell over $100,000 this year.  Our average monthly sales are right around $6500 - $10,000 a month.  That was until last month.  (July 2018) Total sales - $2900.  This month we are at $3100.  I don't see us selling close to our average.  

I was wanting to know if Ebay changed some things, are long time sellers seeing the same trend or is it just the summer slump?

I agree with most of your comments. I had to vacation for about 6 months after a quadruple bypass and valve replacement. unfortunately all my listings were gone and my energy for adding new ones is low. I have added some back and had some sales, but overall they are much lower, even with promoted listings. I have more to relist and I am finding new items for me to list, like used footwear in nearly new condition. None sold yet. Believe it or not I have sold on ebay since 2001 and I've seen a lot of ups and downs and frustrations with ebay. The current downturn is one of the worst. But let's all work together and help one another through this crisis.

Every where about 30% out of job so I am guessing that has a lot to do with it. People do not know how long this is going to last and I am guessing til near end of June. Schools in many state out til end of year.

They clipped my Top Rated Status when My dad passed away,, I put my store on Vacation but that didn't matter.. I should have stopped the sales while I was gone is what I was told,, Who can afford to lose sales for a week??  Anyway,, that was back in 2013 and to this day I have never been able to get my status back,..  I"m sorry,  a close family member dies.. Stopping your sales on Ebay is the last thing on your mind.
