What a buzz kill! I work hard to get sales and mid way in April someone has pulled the plug. I've seen other posts regarding poor sales, but have found no explanation. Once again, what a buzz kill!!! The frustrating part is, it does not appear to be within the seller(s) control, it definitely does not feel like a natural decrease, just an abrupt spiral down. Sheesh!

I agree 100% with the OP. Regardless of what we sell or the asking price, something has changed for some of us. I am a small seller and had a good first quarter by my standards. Everthing essentially stopped around April 1st. Whether or not an item sold or even was watched, I always had double digit views. Now it is down to 0, 1, 2, etc. From the chat boards, I see other sellers saying the same thing. April is not typically a slow month for me, however, I only had 7 small sells. I realize that most people don't need what I sell, but if you do, I am probably the only seller that has the item listed. My prices are low, 100% positive feedback, TRS + (for now), etc. Now having said all this, I love eBay. I love to buy and sell on eBay. When I need something, eBay is the first place I look. If your sells have remained steady, that's great, but for at least some of us, something has changed and all I can see is the downturn in number of views. Good luck to all of you!

I run into people that don't know market values from both sides of the coin.

Sure I can agree with that.
But I'm speaking specifically about the sellers who come here claiming they aren't selling anything. In almost every case, when I go to their listings, I pick out several items to do a search for, and in almost every case, the same exact item is being sold for FAR less by someone else.
I just do not understand people who overprice things so horrifically and are then puzzled as to why they aren't selling...

Your prices seem very reasonable to me. Maybe it's because of tax season...

That LL Bean handbag search is working fine for me, no matter what search I switch to, it's finding 396. Wonder why yours is different? Does it sneak in and change the category on you?

When I change it to highest first it goes to womans bags and handbags. Nothing on ebays search is uniform its just a rainbow of luck of the draw....

dj I'm one of the few ebay sellers that works on money in money out. I have two premium stores so it costs me $1420.00 a year I cover that cost in Jan. and the rest of the year its just whats going in whats coming out. I don't need to make a living here just a hobby seller anymore...

So that's proof that it is very important now what category you list in. A lot of these sellers complaining about bad sales should do what you do and see what category Ebay forces buyers into.

So you'd list it in womens bags and handbags with the other 5 items or stick it in anywhere you want with the other 391 items?

I don't have one to list, but had a disscussion with a lady today about the one she bought on ebay and what she searched for that resulted in a sale....

I'd list in the category that the search defaults to. I'd rather be one of the five that are seen
