What a buzz kill! I work hard to get sales and mid way in April someone has pulled the plug. I've seen other posts regarding poor sales, but have found no explanation. Once again, what a buzz kill!!! The frustrating part is, it does not appear to be within the seller(s) control, it definitely does not feel like a natural decrease, just an abrupt spiral down. Sheesh!

I also checked all the items. MOST are so overpriced when you add on the postage, i think you are going to wait a long time to make a sale. If you actually NEED the money you are asking for, I suggest you get a couple good books to read while you wait.

What do you think it is? Trying to get rid of small sellers? All I know is that since April 1st, my items have gotten very few views compared to anytime prior to that date. If my listing's monthly views were still in double digits like before and I had no sells, then I would think that I was doing something wrong or different. Now I feel like my listings are not reaching the buyers...

Me too! I had a decent first quarter by my standards, however, everthing came to a halt on April 1st. Getting 0-3 views per item where as I always had double digits before. I guess my switch was turned off. I don't want to waste anymore time doing new listings. Without any views, I don't stand a chance. Well, at least I no longer have to pay FVFs, but the store subscription is something I need to re-evaluate!!! I want the old eBay back!!!

We saw a drop in sales on ebay three years ago, sales did not stop but never recovered to what they were. Right now the economy is doing farely well and sales are spotty. One theory that has it that Amazon is Googles biggest customer of advertising and Google may be munipulating search. As far as your pricing, hey is a free market do what works for you.

It not in the sellers control. you should know that by now. I is not that you have anything that people will buy right now, no sir, that not it. Because, some where in the world, some person does want what you have, they just cant see it. people will argue this endlessly and the thread will go forever, you cant sell a twenty dollar bill for ten dollars if someone above will not allow you to, is fact.

it also very interesting why I can sell 10 ounces of my product once in a while for 100 dollars, while another seller sells 1 ounce of the exact same product every day for 50 dollars, I can only say it is controlled from a higher source.

I believe I will do that, but that 1 ounce will look funny next to the 10 ounce parcel, but I see,it might be a sales leader showing that if you buy in bulk from me, you get a huge discount. I believe eBay is protecting me from paying taxes and regulates my sales to 5000 a year, my tin foil protection hat tells me this. But I could be wrong, but the foil hat is never wrong.

But I am also seeing the same thing with rocks, I don't know what ricwill sells, but in my items I see exactly the same trend, a 1 oz. piece of gemstone can sell for fifty dollars while an 8 pound piece of the exact grade material will sell for 3 or 4 hundred, so buying in bulk increases your profit margin and stocks your reserve inventory for a long, long time, in rock that is, this works for other goods, not gold however, which is just a really expensive rock.

I sell records, and no one wants my records at the price I sell them for, even if I lower the start price to 0.01 cents plus shipping they may never sell because no one wants them. It has nothing to do with if they are not seen in a sea of other sellers records, fact is if no one wants them I use them for target practice, I have boxes and boxes of vinyl sitting around, its a sickness border line hoarder disease, eBay has nothing to do with visibility of my items, sales are down because sales are down.
