eBay has collected the sales tax on the last 2 orders in NY .
This sales tax amount is not listed on the packing slip or on the order details, or in Pay Pal.
I have collected the NY sales tax in the past and sent it in as required.
Questions:
Now that eBay collects the tax, do I have to report this ?
Do I still need a sales tax number?

Thanks for any help, Amy

You can download a CSV file with all your sales and the tax info is included in that report. From seller hub and using all orders page select the time frame you want to download and use the download tab located top right area.
Good Luck Selling!
downloading a 'csv' file and weeding thru all of the sales at the end of the year, for just your state is EXTREMELY UNREALISTIC when ebay has the ability and capability to show the tax collected and state on the orders form, sales record, and packing slip as they have proven in the past. it is ebay 'deciding' to make sellers work harder instead of smarter that limits it to a 'csv' file.
@amyo48 : on the orders page, if you click on total page, it will take you to where the sales tax shows for EACH individual transaction, if you wish to track and log individually. (this is about the easiest way now to know if sales tax was paid since ebay removed the note that told sellers on the orders pages.)

I think you misunderstand how the report works. They are easy to work with and sort. Especially if you drop them into Microsoft Excel and work with them there. All the different values are in their own columns. Besides, those details are something that is a good idea to have in your business records.

Is there a way to do this OTHER than using Seller Hub ? I have not gotten into Seller Hub - maybe the problems have been worked out by now ? It would be terrific to be able to create a list of NY buyers/purchasers, as I will need it for our records.
You don't need the Hub.
Go to this page:

On the right side under downloads, click on create a download request and fill in the dates you want.

These are some of eBay's public facing documents the describe eBay's intent to collect sales tax on sales into specific states:

"eBay sales tax collection
Based on applicable tax laws, eBay will calculate, collect, and remit sales tax on behalf of sellers for items shipped to customers in the following states:"

I was actually asking the one that called New York State Department Of Taxation and Finance which public facing document is the one that meets the states requirements. The one with the table of which states is the one I have known about for a while but it doesn't meet the states requirements for a public facing document that replaces the ST-150. It seems as if New York changed the tax bulletin about Marketplace Facilitators. I have called eBay countless times to get an ST-150 and they are pointing me to the New York State link on there site which says the same thing I tell eBay.
The links you have provided don't meet the states requirements. The state specifically says it has to include this language: "[Marketplace provider name] is registered to collect New York State sales tax and will
collect sales tax on all taxable sales of tangible personal property that it facilitates for
marketplace sellers for delivery to a New York State address."
None of these links has this language. So unless it has this language the market place facilitator has to provide ST-150 form. It also seems New York has amended an earlier document when I originally looked at it. That was back on June 1 when eBay started to collect tax. The old document only had 3 pages not 4. So page 3 stopped with the ST-150 form requirement and nothing about a public facing document.
