Sales Have Totally Bottomed Out. Because Of Covid-19 Are People Afraid To Purchase Items On E-Bay?

Sales are down to nothing. I offer a large variety of items and yet no bids or offers of any kind. Not even any questions. Are people scared they will catch the virus off items shipped?

Sales for me have been about double in the last 6 weeks. I'm using my time to list more and guess what I'm selling more. The GTC has been great as some of the items I've sold have been their for over a year.

I just packaged 15 items for shipping and have about 10 more to go tomorrow morning.  Have not been real active dealing with my dads passing and my moms wanting to clean house.   

Hopefully will start to list my last haul that I brought home from Moms in the next week.  Really cannot complain.

My deepest sympathies. It is always painful to have to go through the stuff our loved ones leave behind. 

Glad to see you are selling so well, that you had to package 25 packages within a 24 hrs period. I was looking at your listings and saw a pretty table-cloth, but wondering, did you use the "Sell similar" option with that listing? 45+ for shipping seems to be a bit too high, even if this is a heavier item. I think it would sell faster if you offered Priority Large Flat Rate box, which would be less than 40% of the current shipping. Of course, this is just a suggestion, you need to do what you need to do.

People are more scared to go out in public places to buy all kinds of items, therefore, internet sales should be extremely good during these times.

Hey all. March was horrible, about a 90% drop, but things are back to about normal in April. A lot of people became unemployed in March, so it's not surprising that sales dropped.  Many others are stuck at home with their kids, so probably not a lot of time to peruse the listings. Stay safe!

My sales have been robust the past few weeks since the stay-at-home orders were issued but sales have begun to slow down a bit now.  I am rather surprised that people are still purchasing non-essential items and being totally oblivious to the what is about to happen economically on a global scale.  As for myself, I am selling anything I can find at fire sale prices to accumulate cash.

Your items have only been listed for a day and a half. Almost all buyers wait until the end of the auction to bid. Wait it out and I am sure some of your stuff will get bids. You cannot be impatient when doing auctions on Ebay. Many of the bids are done by using a software program that automatically bids during the last 8 seconds or so.

A couple of suggestions, take them or leave them, just trying to be helpful. You have several lots. For instance the viewmaster. You need to list what reels are actually included in the lot at least in the description of the item. If you have desireable reels, that will sell. I see records you have listed as lots, and not listed what is included in the lots. Another idea is for your records, if you have room, include the maker or producer ie Capital Records or Elektra. People might collect records from specific producers. Just ideas.

On my seller ID (different from this one), out of complete boredom, on Sunday, I listed three items for auction that have been listed previously, that had views but never sold.  I lowered the prices drastically and changed delivery to free shipping (meaning I have to pay the postage), and I immediately got a bid on one.  

I'll end up with a few cents profit.  But that's not my point with these listings now.  I'm glad to get anything out of my house and hopefully to someone who can get some use out of the item.
