For about the past week, when using my IE-11, I have not been able to access the Ebay Homepage because no matter how many times I try accessing it a pop-up always appears saying 'INTERNET EXPLORER HAS STOPPED WORKING'. Today I finally found out a way to get around this 'IE-11 Allowing No Access To Ebay Homepage Glitch' and it is to access a specific item or category such as by googling: 'ebay bike' or 'ebay book' and then clicking on that URL to get into the Ebay site. The search must contain the word 'EBAY' and once you click on the URL then you can access all of the MY EBAY pages and other pages. This is sort of a backdoor method of accessing Ebay until they cure the IE-11 glitch. The glitch is just with the Ebay Homepage and not with any of the other Ebay pages so do not try to access the homepage when within the website otherwise you will keep getting the pop-up. I also utilize Google Chrome (mostly for Youtube) which is unaffected by the Ebay homepage glitch. I prefer to use IE for Ebay & Chrome for YT.

Quit. And use something like Google Chrome.
Indeed. I was an IE die-hard until a couple of old Windows XP boxes that I use for eBay business could no longer handle eBay pages properly via that browser, especially when printing labels.
Having nothing to lose, I tried downloading Chrome to the XP boxes, and was happy to find that it not only had no problem running the eBay pages but also ran much faster in general on XP than IE ever did. I now use Chrome on all my home machines, including my newest Windows 10 boxes.

We should be able to access any page from ANY browser we like, not what dictators tell us to like! We need some internet rules for these search engines.
OK, then by that argument I'm all mad at some dictator because I can't find new parts for my Model-T at the local Schuck's.

Internet Explorer has been superseded by Microsoft Edge browser. That means that IE is no longer being updated by Microsoft; it is no longer a current browser. If you are using an older operating system and cannot use Edge, there are other browsers available that are still receiving updates that would be better choices, like Firefox, Chrome, Opera as well as other less well-known browsers and variants.
Here is what eBay currently recommends:

I cannot have my file, edit, etc toolbars on any other browsers, and I use them daily.
I use them daily as well. The entire menu bar is available in Firefox -- just right click on a blank spot on your address bar and select "Menu Bar" from the drop-down menu, and those menu items (File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help) will appear at the top of the Firefox window from then on until you change the settings.
Someone is always trying to force us to change browsers, because they like one or the other.
If you are happy with IE11 and it does everything you want, by all means keep using it. But you may find that many features no longer work -- for instance on the Watch List page where many drop-down menus, buttons such as "delete" and page links do not work for some IE11 users. You may ultimately be sacrificing security for familiarity since there will be no new IE 11 security updates. As many web sites are updated, few will bother to ensure that the new site features are compatible with obsolete browsers. That is just the way it is.
It might be a good idea to familiarize yourself with another browser now so that if you do have to change browsers at some point, it will not be a big shock forced upon you when something stops working completely, but rather more of a smooth transition.

Just like how sellers will be forced to use Seller Hub once they're enrolled in Managed Payments. It's better to get used to it now while you can do so at your leisure and have a smoother transition.

Yes, thank you for the info on getting the toolbar, did not know that, but I am in shock already, as everyone changes something every year, such as Ebay, windows, Firefox, etc. Nothing stays the same. The problem is that they all change at the same time, so you don't have time to get any one thing worked out before you have to work on another one. We elderly people aren't able to program quickly like you younger ones can.
I'm no young'un and can tell you that most of the battle is not change itself, but resisting change.

Yep. My mother is almost 80 and she had no problems adapting to Chrome once I showed her where everything was.
