SO many changes...WHAT all is going on here?!?! :(

I was a top rated power seller, but had to step back for awhile due to my husbands health, in fact I did put my store on "vacation mode"in order to tend to my husbands healthcare.  I'm not here posting either for some pity party...but I have come back now...and WHAT all is going on?   

I let my store basically run itself, and yes did do the basic maintenance of keeping a few simple item catagories open. Simple meaning easy to pack and ship out, etc.   Other catagory items I did manage to throw into turbo lister for hopefully future relists, and not to lose these listings. 

First I find that all of my listings in my store that have been basic inventory for quite some time all have warnings on them due to Photobuckets horrible service agreement for hosting, and holding all photos "hostage"!  Ok...so I edited the mere 276 listings that I did have, each individually which was a total joy to do...NOT!  So, that all got taken care of, I thought problem solved?

Next I get a warning on again ALL 276 listings because they all have a non-secure link that need to be edited, again each individually.  For the life of me I could not figure out what they were even talking about!  This link is a hyperlink to my store on eBay!  Why would a link hosted on this site to anther link in this site be considered non-secure, per their own site?  Could someone please explain that to me.  So, again I did go in and edit /delete my store link in my listings. 

Now...I go into turbolister to begin again.  I was thankful that I had backed up 1360 listings in there.  I felt that all I would / or should have been able to do was to "relist".  My first initial thought was that I had best start out slowly and only do  a minimal ammount.  So, I pick out some main listings that I really do want listed, again.........and I keep having now this issue of : "Error: This listing can not be assessed because the listing has been deleted or is a half.com list"................ WHAT IS THAT ??? 

I am just so confused, so frustrated.......and just don't understand.  All I want to do is get back to business.  I've dealt with more then enough obstacles the past six months, and come back to yet............MORE?!?! 

Any comments and help here would be deeply appreciated............

Hopefully - your husband is on the mend - but we've had a lot of changes this past year concerning our listings to make them more compliant for google search.

Thank you for your acknowledgement, and your reply.  I glanced at your link and will read it thoroughly indept later, I see that there is a wealth of info to comprehend, but thank you!!

So, right off the bat...that link is a link to eBay tools.  Why oh WHY would a link I posted within a listing to my own store on eBay be considered an outside link?  That just blew me away!!!  In  other words its ok for you to post a link to another eBay link on here, but not ok for me to link my eBay store?  WHY??  

My husband is holding his own per say....but thank you so much for asking.  I tho on the other hand am losing my mind over all of this!!!

I know where you are coming from - there have been so many changes - and someone should be a long in a bit that can explain things to you better. I'm pretty basic as I'm computer illiterate - so would have no idea about inserting links or any of the other things that have popped up.

You might also search for active content  - in the search box - we've had threads that go pages explaining things.

Best to you - don't get stressed because it will eventually get worked out!

I checked your listings there are a couple hundred that don't comply mostly your dollar items. Checking a listing to see what the error is its your link in the listing to your ebay store. As long as they don't comply they won't be shown to a buyer so your items will just keep going unsold. You can revise 25 listings a hour so with 200 listings thats 4 hours work not bad when you consider I did a couple thousand in just a few days....

You just take the first listing hit revise take out the link to your store in the description and then hit submit takes about 1 min. then move to second listing and repeat. You have 228 that need fixed. I checked to see if they were mobile friendly and they are so no repairs needed there...

Yes, I literally gave up tonight after revising 50 taking out my eBay store link.  So, let me ask if you don't mind...............you HAD to revise 2000 listings and it took you 4 days?  WHY did you have to revise these, and is that not a little excessive and totally useless? 

You lost 4 days..................is my point!  

WHY?  When you could have spent 4 days posting new listings!

Anything you do on ebay besides list is pretty pointless. ebay has always been a make work site for a seller whats new and inventive today will need to be a need to be removed and replaced next year feature. They never take into account the man hours involved doing their constant changing everything on their site is either broken or getting ready to break and is as close as you'll get to a duct tape baling wired operation thats just how it is...

If you use the bulk editor and do say 50 at a time it will go much faster. Just use the html editor tab and take out the html for the store link on the first then hit save & next & do the next one. Rinse lather repeat. Doesn't take all that long honestly.

I do agree as well that it's ridiculous we can't have links to other ebay pages, but it is what it is.

So, can anyone tell me what HALF.COM even is?  Or why any listings that I have ever put up on eBay would even show up that they were ......from there?  I have never heard of this before, but apparently I can't relist using turbo lister because of ?  

I just want to get back to work here.

I use Turbo but I've never had that error message. As far as being deleted, that's the whole point of using Turbo, that you can store listings once they've been deleted off eBay itself.

You might want to post that particular question over on the Tools & Apps board as Turbo do monitor that one.

Yes, as sellers I guess we are basically at their mercy!  Total useless waste of time when we could be gang busting on here, I would thnk?!

That is an excellent point! 

I kept editing and trying to figure out what is was that the HUGE caution sign kept preventing me from relisting with that particular explaination!  It was hard to decifer with the html codes that I put in those listings.  

IT was like WHAT do you WANT !!!!!!???????????????
