I just sold a item.  The buyer paid regular (domestic) shipping.  In the "notes" she writes "Please ship this to me in London, my address is..."

Dear Buyer:  I am so sorry but I am required to ship to the address provided by Paypal.

Please let me know if you would like me to cancel the transaction.  I can then relist and you can buy it again using the proper ship to address when you pay.

Thank you for your purchase and your understanding.

Sincerely,

Your Seller

You can then cancel with buyer requested, no defect for you.

I would use problem with address instead of buyer requested.

Wait for the buyer to get back to you because they may still want the item shipped to their US address on the order.

Thank you! You're right, problem with address.  Sorry about that!  Although either would work without issues, yours is the best way.

Isn't the reason problem with address OR buyer requested? Haven't had to do one for a while.

Lookng, there have been so many changes recently it's hard to keep up. I did a cancellation a few weeks ago and there were three reasons presented: seller initiated, buyer requested, or problem with address.

Selling on ebay is a lot like working retail.  You "meet" all kinds of interesting people.  😃

@inhawaii  Just curious how an International shipment can be processed with a domesitc shipping payment?  Buyer must have a US address on file with PayPal is the only way I can think of ... I agree with others, cancel due to issue with the address.

Best regards,

I would ship the package as addressed and put a note in the package that says ..

Please forward on to London per buyers request sunglasses

I disabled the checkout notes. They are nothing but trouble.

You can turn it off under My eBay > My Account > Manage communications with buyers.

I would send that email saying you cant and would they like to cancel, then, if no reply in 3 days select could not get ahold of buyer, no defect.

OMG!! Most helpful post of the month! I did not know that was there. Sure 90% of the messages say "Thank You", but I invariably miss the message that was actually important. And what is that message? Most often an address change request. I'd much rather force the buyer to send an email message that I will see for sure.

If it's the generator owner's manual, we already KNOW the buyer isn't very bright. The PDF of the manual is available for free from Honda's website.
