Anyone else ready to just call it quits? eBay has been dead slow for us for a few months. I spend a lot of time sourcing, pictures, listings. I feel my prices are really low and great. I know there’s a lot of people that are sick of hearing this same complaint, but those people are most likely doing really well. Mean while, people like us aren’t getting any sales and just low ball offers. And I mean real low ball offers. I’m sorry but I’m not selling someone a shirt for $5. Then they decline my counteroffer. I’ve had more request for returns than I ever have had. I feel like I’ve had more returns than sales. I do sales- I run promotions. I’m at a loss on what else to do. I share some listings on Pinterest, I have my link shared in several areas. Okay, rant over. Let’s just hope that August is better than the last 3 months.

I took a quick look at your listings and I see you're highly concentrated in clothing. One thing I think will help is to diversify your products, source some gift items for the Holidays, for the home, mix it up. look at successful businesses, they don't sell in one or two categories, look at Home Depot, they are selling pots and pans like Target, look at grocery stores selling wine and beer putting beer distributers out of business, now if beer distributers sold groceries, they may survive but you get the point, whatever you can buy at 80 or 90% discount, go for it and list it.

Thank you for the advice. It’s very appreciated! I will take any advice I can get. ☺️ I’m fairly new at selling. I am coming up on one year anyways. We do mostly sell clothing. I’ve thought about sourcing other things but I haven’t done it yet, to be honest with you I’m a little nervous to lol. Now when we list gun parts/ holsters, those go quick! It’s been awhile since I’ve listed in that category though. Thank you for the kind reply. I re-read this after typing it (I just needed to rant a little) and tried to delete it but I guess that’s not an option- it’s here to stay lol.

Only 46 listings is not going to generate much in the way of sales in the clothing category. Your up against sellers listing 100 items a day. Also noted that it says Shipping not specified. Check your postage policy. You're not shipping to overseas? I also see your returns policy is set to No returns. You need to have it set to 30 days or you go further down in search. Your listing shows boots similar being listed by 15 other sellers. Of which all of those other seller listings shown in your ad are all cheaper than your item. I'm looking at your listing

You need more listings around 250+. Or trying selling a different category, there are hundreds of clothing sellers it is a tough market.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve never tried shipping overseas and to be honest I also had no clue about my shipping. I will have to get on the computer tomorrow. I actually sold so much more before having a store and only having 100 listings. I think I’m around 280 active listings right now. I’m slowing but surely adding to that over time. 

The shoes you are referring to- all of the shoes I have listed are on there because of a close friend needing to sell them but he doesn’t want them on fb. They were his wife’s who passed of cancer. I worry about doing returns. But then again, maybe it would benefit me as a seller. I’m a huge worry wart 🤣 

Also- I’m confused where the 46 listings came from? It sounds like I’m just doing it all wrong over here lol. I need to get on the desktop tomorrow and really evaluate all my listings. Thank you so much for the response!!
