Why do you feel you have been treated unfairly?
Someone here might be able to help you.
As for fees, there are some sites that charge more than Ebay.

This sounds like it is a a decision that you made for yourself, based on your own experience.
Suggesting that it is important to all eBay sellers seems like an unsupported leap of logic.

There's an ad in my local newspaper for Coolsculpting. Not everybody who sees this ad is going to be interested, but that's okay. They can just move on.
Ditto this OP's post.

If you're selling yard sale items, then yes, yard sale sites will be better. Shipping will kill you when stuff aint worth shipping cross country. I see people trying to sell prescut punch sets on ebay and they don't sell. It aint worth $50 to ship it.
I buy all of them I can get if the price is low enough because at the local shop they fly off the shelves at $30. If it costs $50 to ship and people will pay $30 is it any wonder when people don't buy it on eBay.
Then try and sell a $200 Candlewick punch set locally. There are few buyers for that and you need a broader net to get the sale. I had a Westmoreland punch set that sat in the shop and never sold at $100. Brought it here and it sold for over $200. I just had to pack all those pieces of glass and sweat bullets that I didn't have a box of shards delivered.

Glad to know you're doing well with yard sales. They're definitely not my cuppa tea, but if that's working out nicely for you, great! Good luck to you!
I'm still here but understand that many are leaving or have left - for all sorts of reasons.

In my area yard sales are not allowed per the Homeowners Association.
So for some it is not an available alternative.

Mayhap I am mistaken....
I thought when the OP said "Yard sale sites" he was referring to FB yard sale pages....
In my area they have become very popular. A lot of eBay sellers are using them for local sales, much more then that guy who has a list or eBay..... and some have gone solely to FB sales.... I've been saying THAT is a threat eBay should be concerned about unless they don't really care that much about losing small sellers or local sales.... but from what I can gather on these boards it isn't as popular everywhere.... don't know why it is so popular here.
There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy and a tragedy.

eBay no longer treats the buyers and sellers equally. eBay is all for the buyer now, and based on the new seller updates and DW future platform ideas/changes, eBay will be digging in it's heels farther for the buyers while doing everything it can to make selling harder for sellers. eBay is no longer a seller friendly site for the small sellers.

I have a few sites I sell on from time to time. These are the ones that are on FB and there is no charge of any kind. You are on your own. Post your item, price and where to meet the buyer. Sometimes I post my items on the online sites if they don't sell right away on eBay but most people just ask if it is still available and I say, "yes" and then I hear no more from them. I have sold some house items but clothes don't so very well. Not even purses.. and my purses will finally sell on eBay. It just takes time sometimes.
I can sell them cheaper on the online sites because I don't have to charge shipping. I also like the fact that there are no returns.

I quit 4 months ago after 18 years. What happened?? Why does ebay think someone who sells clothing should follow the same set of rules as someone who sells car parts? No 2 businesses run the same. Heck, I was a paralegal for 25 years. No 2 law firms run the same and I now I work part-time as a pharmacy tech at Walmart. Big company with rules. I have been in 3 different pharmacies. None ran the same!
I am contemplating trying ebay again, but I know I am going to be disappointed.

If you sell on ebay and have a yard sale will ebay try and collect fees for taking sales off their site?

Are you referring to the shipping on this site? The shipping is misleading. If they're trying to get the price to 40% more, I agree with that. There must be another way to doing it.
