SELLING LIMITS

I see that i'm not the only one with less and less sales, is Ebay not the best way to sell worldwide? My selling performance dropped to below standard and half my listings got cancelled, really they do this now when its Christmas season. Are they setting us up for failure? I pay $59.99 for my monthly subscription, why do we pay monthly if they feel like they can just drop our store for less monthly sales, now I pay the same amount for less listings that's not right. Why do they do this during Christmas, I've tried requesting a listing increase but i'm not qualified yet.  LOL SMH

@isela1

Why would you pay $59.95 for a Store, when you can do a Basic store that now has all the extra listings?  What benefit is that Store level giving you that you cannot obtain from a lower tiered store?

How soon before your Store subscription is up?

And Selling limits and the number of listings a Store gives you are 2 very different things.

Why the cancellation of your listings? Was it the TENS unit? 🤔

Why would Ebay decrease their requirements of seller during the Holiday Season?  I'm not sure I understand that point you are trying to make.

If your account has fallen to Below Standard, there are reasons for that.  Requirements you haven't meant on a few transactions.

The starting point would be to review your Seller Dashboard and find out in what area you are having problems with that have caused you to fall Below Standard.  You need to identify the problem before you can fix the problem.  So come on back and share with us what you find and we can likely give you some advice to work you way out of this.

It will not be a quick fix.  But we can at least help set you on a path to resolve the current issues and hopefully never experience them again.

Are you talking about an actual listing increase or a selling limit increase.  They aren't the same thing.  So to understand your issue, please give more details as to what you are really looking for.

Also if you would post the email or emails you have gotten from Ebay regarding all of this, it would help.  Of course black out any personal info that we have no need to know.

We can likely assist you if you give us enough info to go on.

Also something to consider is that at certain points in the subscription time, it may be cheaper to downgrade the store and pay the penalty.  But you have to do the math to figure out what is financially the best.

No. Seller metrics exist to encourage sellers to succeed by meeting basic standards. All sellers must meet them in order to remain viable on eBay. Once you have fallen to Below Standard, it suggests you are failing in one or more areas of your seller metrics.

Therefore your loss of sales may be related to your selling performance. How many cases for Not As Described or Item Not Received have been opened against you where eBay had to resolve them? How many transactions have you cancelled without buyer requests? Has your shipping been on-time? These are issues that create poor buying experiences for shoppers, that eBay rates on seller dashboards.

why do we pay monthly if they feel like they can just drop our store for less monthly sales,…”

You are not being punished for less sales, but because your selling performance has problems. Going to your seller dashboard will tell you what area(s) needs attention. If you do not correct the issues identified in your seller metrics, your selling privileges will continue to be affected. This downward spiral needs your immediate attention. Below is a link on how to bring your account back into compliance with eBay’s minimum standards, and get you back on track.

Good luck and i hope you are able to resolve the matter to your benefit.

I suspect that the "best way to sell worldwide" varies greatly from seller to seller and from item to item.

Your sales have dropped. That must be Ebay's fault.

Your sales performance has also dropped. That must be Ebay's fault too.

A couple of thoughts...

Once, I got a warning that my seller level would fall below Top Rated before the next evaluation, but I had a 30-day grace period to improve it. As @fashunu4eeuh mentions, I went to my Seller Dashboard and was able to see it was caused by OOS cancellations... MY bads.

For me, it was simply gaining some good transactions... and I was able to get the number back up to the requirement before that time, using the info the dashboard showed me. (Heck, I knew the minute I saw my Dashboard exactly how many  good transactions I needed.) The warning from eBay did  allow me some time to check through my inventory... something I truly needed to do.

Has the policy changed? Did you not receive a message a month or so ago?

TRS are the only type of sellers that get a 30 day grace period.  That isn't offered to non TRS.
