The "thing"? It's what you sell and who your target audience is.
I can tell you that what is selling like CRAZY at my B&M job right now is furniture. Indoor, outdoor, you name it, because everyone is spending more time at home and so they want to make their spaces look nice. Kitchen stuff, too, because more people are eating at home instead of going out.
