Returns due to inaccurate size comments

We had a return from someone that said the size pants fit like a pair 2 sizes smaller.  Upon return of the item I tried on the pants and they fit exactly as stated on the original tags and my item description.

My first question, do buyers see that complaint? That to me would cause people to think sizing is unreliable

I have already sent the refund, but would like to know, should I write a comment on my item description about the return that was obviously due to their inaccurate measuring of their own size.

Returns due to inaccurate size comments

Future buyers will only know about the return if you try to jerk the buyer around and they decide to leave negative feedback about their experience.

Other buyers will not see the return request.

Now if the buyer leaves a Neutral or NEG Feedback then yes, other potential buyers will see that.

"... should I write a comment on my item description about the return..."

No. Less is more, especially with something like this. Make sure your description is  correct, naturally...

Also... in my experience, if an item sells once, it will again. Here's to your next buyer being a good buyer!

Your feedback rating is 100% positive (so nobody will bother to read feedback).   Of course, if customer leaves negative comment...it could be read by potential customers.

Always better to "take the high road" and not leave rebuttal feedback (remember potential customers can read that too and if you sound angry or try to throw the customer under the bus...that's a big red flag for new customers).

Just a note of humor....everyone has gained weight from the pandemic lockdown.   Customer doesn't want to admit they "got fatter" so they blame the pants they bought.
