Return fraud, how would you deal with this ?

Bad economy brings in bad buyers.

A buyer filed return request and uploaded photo of old used broken item and kept our new good item asking for full refund
I issued partial refund but buyer declined

What should I do next ?

1) You can approve the Return request and refund in full only after the item has been returned to you.

2) If the item is not worth the return shipping cost that you'll pay, you may just consider refunding without a return.

you need to have them file for a return and accept it

I have taken back hundreds of returns and it rare to get back a different item

you cant deal with the return till it comes back but you really need to accept it

ebay is going to let the buyer go thru with the return so its best to say yes to a return

You offer free returns, tell them to open a case, return the item and they'll get a full refund. If they don't you're not out the item and the money.

it happened to me .He send me pictures of the shoes I sold him saying they had a defect .i asked him more picture but he refused.Fortunately those shoes were guaranteed authentic by eBay so they were inspected before ship to him .I made one call to eBay and they side with me .case was closed but it took time for the money on hold to be release .(My sales are final)

Yes, I will do that asking buyer to return item although I know buyer will be returning the broken , used item.

This is obviously a harden online shopping looter.

I'll deal with that ....
