Reserve Auction

Once the reserve price has been met, can the bidding continue --- exceeding the reserve price?

Reserve Auction

Thank you MT Graves. It appears that my reserve price may be too low for what I am selling. So I did not want to loose out on the potential gains !

The bidding can continue even if the reserve has NOT been met.

Reserve Auction

It's worth remembering that reserves on an auction cost money, and are generally disliked by buyers, or at least they may pull shenanigans to find out your reserve and bid no higher if they are willing to go that high.  It's usually advised to simply start the bidding at the lowest you would be willing to take a skip the reserve.  Saves you money, attracts more bidders, and is just all around easier.
