Reporting a Buyer

This is just to vent since I doubt if anything will get done.

Had a buyer request a color not offered but we do custom if requested. They also stated this is a drop shipment and to do fast shipment. Also stated not to print out an invoice/receipt. I message back in reference to their note on the order that 1. powder is ordered should take a couple of days to receive 2. our lead time is 15 days to allow us time to get the powder and make the item (cut, bent, welded then processed with powder coating) and to process any other orders that we received 3. That in our description it states that all orders will have a receipt because these items have our Trademark Logo.

They come back with okay for brand credit but do not print out a invoice/receipt and to update tracking as soon as possible.

Of course I write back saying again that we have until 12/27 to ship the item (ordered 12/6) and that I will print out the invoice.

They come back and said if I print out an invoice they would wish to cancel order. By this time I had ordered the special color powder which is processed at the time it is ordered. Could not cancel the powder so bit my tongue and wrote back saying would not print out a receipt/invoice. Stated that any future orders the printed invoice will be included.

So on 12/6 again on 12/7 and on 12/10 in response to when it will ship I explained that we would ship out the order by the date of 12/27. On 12/12 they file a dispute through their PayPal saying have not received their order. I get on with eBay help and they said as long as we up load the tracking numbers before the 5 days eBay will side with us. In discussing the matter with them they also said to report the buyer for abusive behavior.

This is where I don't get their options for reporting abusive behavior. I clicked on item not received even though they have not received it with our lead time of 15 days. It was the only thing close enough to file a report. Explained in the comment box all I have stated here, will see if anything happens.

Is there anywhere we can send recommendations for improvements on their choices?  I feel there should be more options to choose from because of the range of different ways of abusive behavior. I feel the buyer backed me into a corner with the cancel because of receipt and we had to push their order in front of other orders to get shipped before the 5 day dispute was up. Still waiting for the outcome for the dispute which is still pending even though tracking shows it is on its way.

So those first "special requests" did not make you uncomfortable enough to cancel?

You, the seller, clicked on item not received? How? That is an option for the buyer, not the seller.

And the buyer is using you as a drop shipper?

I would have included a receipt.  It's not as though the "buyer" would have known as he was using you to dropship the purchase.

And, with all the special requests, I probably would have refunded, blocked this guy from the get go.

If I could have cancelled the requested color powder I would have refunded and dropped the matter. FYI did not place a printed out invoice, did not tell them that all receipts sent with our item has a hand written receipt ;). They are blocked now and debated about the feedback for them, usually for those that have us drop ship I don't leave feedback because they never do for me.

Reporting a Buyer

Here is the link the eBay helper gave me. I tried placing the link in here but eBay won't allow it.

from there you choose the buyer you wish to report, next you get different options:

Next, tell us what happened

Buyer demanded something that was not offered in my listing
Buyer made a false claim
Buyer misused returns
Buyer messaged me or retracted their bid with no intention of buying my item

from there I clicked on Buyer made a false claim which gave me 2 options:
Claimed the item was not as described when that wasn’t true

Claimed an item was not received when tracking shows it was delivered

I clicked on 2nd one and then you can explain in a comment box.

I have had other special requests which never had an issue with the lead time or they waited until we list the item just for them when it was ready. I think their "listing" for our item promised a shipment within fewer days then what we do and they were in a bind with their buyer.
Usually when a buyer purchases an item and then has it sent to a different person that tells me they are using me as a drop shipper for my item. Another way to tell is check the feedback. If they have purchased from the same person several times and on the other side didn't leave feedback for that same person.
