I got a notification that 2 items sold however I was contacted by the buyers with some odd requests. Removed my items for sale. One asked me to ship to Singapore and other asked me to purchase a $300 gift card to ship with my product.

Generally if you cancel after it's been sold you get a defect if the buyer didn't request you to cancel.
The buyer wanting you to send a gift card is a scammer. When they ask ignore them or tell them no and file an unpaid dispute to get a fee credit.
For the person wanting you to ship to Singapore you can if that's the shipping address provided when they pay. If you don't ship there you cancel citing problem with the buyer's address, it's a location you don't ship to.
New sellers attract scammers, especially if you're selling something expensive. Sell some inexpensive items and build up your feedback before you list something expensive.

Both scams. Are you saying EBAY removed the listings even after the fact?
Just a heads up, when you get a message asking that you "change the address", always look to see if the message is actually from your BUYER if post sale. Don't do it anyway though even if it is.

Re. asking you ship to Singapore:
Did your listing exclude Singapore, or was shipping to Singapore a valid request?
Did the buyer pay for the item?
If he paid, was the Singapore address supplied with his payment?
Or did he request you to change the address through a message or email?
Re. including the gift card:
Always a scam.

As a new seller you can expect a lot of that. Start by selling low value items and list a buy it now set to require payment right away. That will cut down on a lot of that.

Ebay should ban any buyer that tries such a scam for life. On the spot !
