I recently sold an item that was then removed by ebay. I have already mailed it out, do I still receive the funds for the product or do they credit them back to the buyer? If they credit back the buyer it is unfair because they got the item for free.

In general, nothing between the buyer and seller should change if neither panics. The question would be if you get the Final Value Fees refunded or not.

If the buyer freaks and files a claim with PP, all bets are off.

No. You get the money and the buyer gets the item. Once it has been paid for and mailed it is out of eBay's control completely.
