Well. If you'd like to hear answers to a number of random seller questions, check out the podcast. If you want to hear about alternatives to USPS shipping as was promised in last week's program, well, it turns out the only advice given is : use the ebay shipping calculator so you can see which service (USPS, UPS or FedEx) would be best for your package. Here's the transcript, for what it's worth:
Griff: I thought this would be a great opportunity to point out the eBay shipping calculator and we'll provide that link. If you're shipping something for the first time and it's an unusual size or dimensions or weight and you're not sure what the charges should be. Go to the eBay shipping calculator. It's always up to date and you can compare the three service providers, USPS, UPS and FedEx for the same product you put in. I always, when I'm testing it, I'll put in my zip code here in San Jose. And then I'll put my zip code in Vermont that I remember, which is 0 5, 7, 7, 7. That usually works out pretty well.
Brian: And then, and then basically you're gonna get a comparison across the three services and as a seller, then you can choose the one that makes sense for you.
I admit, I was hoping for a bit more advice than that.
