Hi,
I have been an Amazon Seller for a very long time and have just started selling on Ebay. I sell Media items so I keep getting the same items most of the time.
On Amazon I keep my inactive listings so that when I receive more stock I just press one button to replenish my stock.
How can I do a similar thing on Ebay. I have been told that items getdeleted on ebay after a certain time whereas on Amazon the listings stay inactive forever until we reactivate them?
Is this possible on Ebay or do I have to use an external software like Inkfrog or Crazy Lister.
I need to save myself time because I will be restocking 100s of items a week and I don't want to keep filling out the Listing Form each time I receive new stock.

You can use the Out Of Stock option (in your Site Preferences).
When that option is turned on listing don't end when they sell out but when stock is at zero they become invisible to buyers. When you add more stock they immediately become visible again.
eBay will allow them to sit at zero stock for about 3 - 4 months and then will end them, if you restock before that then they just continue.
The Out Of Stock option is a global setting that affects either all your listings or none.

I have checked on the Out Of Stock option but I need the items to stay there longer. Would any software like Crazy Lister help.

Sure you can use a third-party listing tool (I use SixBit) that will keep your listings forever (on your system but not on eBay).
Hopefully you understand the big difference between eBay and Amazon. On eBay your listing is yours alone unlike Amazon where every listing is essentially an Amazon listing that you tag on to.
To add confusion, for some products that are in the eBay Catalog your individual listing will be "attached" to the eBay catalog but it still remains as a standalone listing specific to an individual seller.

So when you use Sixbit, is it quicker to list items compared to listing them from Ebay? And can you list them directly from the Sixbit software?
All I am worried about is the time? I will be probably listing 100 items a week.

I also use Sixbit software and I rarely ever go to ebay for anything listing and sellling related. Returns, etc. are another story. You have to use ebay for problems.

I do everything (ok 99% of everything) via SixBit, listing creation, submission, monitoring, analysis, post sale management, shipping etc. etc. etc.
I only use eBay's Seller Hub to quickly have a look at what is happening and for Payments since Managed Payments.
The last time I listed directly on eBay was 21 years ago.
The best part of SixBit (and other 3rd party tools) is that I have detailed records of every listing, every sale, every buyer, every return, every ?????? since 2000 at my fingertips.
I could go away for a year and come back and in less than 5 minutes have everything up and running again. Good for me because other than during Covid I usually take 3 - 6 months off every year for other more enjoyable activities.
