Refunding a customer - why can;t find how?

Why is it so difficult to simply refund a buyer? I just can't find the right topic. Believe me, I've tried.

In the seller hub go to orders, find the order and click the drop-down box next to it.  It'll say "refund" toward the bottom - click into that and choose the reason why, leave a message for your buyer if desired, and enter the refund amount.  That's it.

Does seller still get bad mark for post office missing lost package with proper receipt as to it being immediately sent registered insured signature confirmation?

There are two paths to issue a refund. If an item is lost or damaged, then just have the buyer open a claim in ebay & then you can issue a refund directly from the case to close things out, assuming the itemm is truly lost without a delivery scan.  That is the best route for this type of scenario. If you're just issuing a partial refund for some other reason, then go to the seller hub, items paid & shipped, find the transaction, & look for the refund in the dropdown on the left side of the page.

Good luck!
