I got a video game from a seller, but when I opened it was a different game. I started a refund but I realized that it looks like it is fake. Will I still get a refund or will eBay side with the seller? Or is it too much of a hassle

I don't know what you mean by, you started a refund. If you opened a not as described case, that is correct. You are covered under the Ebay MBG, get the item you ordered or your money back. The logo is most likely on the listing you bought. You might want to read a bit on Buyer Protection, for your own protection.

If you opened a Request for Return, you are now waiting on your seller to accept it and issue you a return label. That should not take more than 48 hours. Once you get the return label, ship the item back within 5 business days. Once your seller receives the item they have a day or to for inspection and then they should refund you.
This should have been on your screen when you opened the Request. Ebay give you information on what will happen next. Go and take a look at your claim, it should tell you how long the seller has to respond and if they don't what your next step should be.

You opened a case using the reason Not as Described. eBay will rule in your favor. Not only did you not receive what you ordered but it is counterfeit. Both are violations for a seller and eBay will side with you. Also, seller is responsible for return shipping and you should receive a prepaid return shipping label.

You should be in good shape for the return. If the seller is selling fakes you should report. Best regards
