I purchased an iPhone on Aug21 from an eBay seller that said the phone has a clean imei and is fully paid off in new condition. I used the phone with my carrier untill October when I decided to switch phones. I then listed the iPhone and sold it on eBay. I just received a message from the buyer stating that the person he gave the phone to said it is blocked/stolen and can't be activated. He has been using it for 25 days with no problems and gave me excellent feedback. I checked the imei and it does appear to be blocked on swappa.
What should I do? How does a fully paid phone with a clean imei and has been activated for a few months get blocked? Who is at fault the original seller or the new buyer? The new buyer gave the phone away to his friend. Is there anyway they are trying to scam me? I would greatly appreciate any information you guys have.
