Refund for return

After being forced into Managed Payments I need to refund a customer thru Paypal apparently.  I don't have money in there, and the Rep at Ebay says I need to send money to Paypal from my checking.  This will take several days.

#1 - does this sound right?

#2- am I going to have to do this for all my return refunds, or will refunds be taken out of my checking in the future automatically because I can't find a way to change from Paypal to my checking.

Sorry, I probably missed something somewhere in the new program explanation.  And I am ticked I can't use my Paypal care anymore.

Refund for return

Sooo, I went into Paypal and requested the amount from my checking.  You would think I could send from my checking TO Paypal, but no, I had to go into Paypal to request the money from checking.  Anyway, it is done.

Thanks to you all for your help.

No, thst doesn't sound right.  If you are in MP, i would think the refund shuld come from MP, not from paypal.

I'm only using logic. I don't know the answer for sure because i still don't have MP.

Refund for return

I recently had to refund a buyer through MP and it says that the funds come from a hold on that amount in the MP account and not through Paypal.  However it appears that the buyer has not been refunded as yet, five fays since I agreed to a refund.  Ebay sometimes moves in mysterious ways.

If the item sold through MP, you should be able to refund through there.

If the item sold while it was still on Pay Pal, the refund will have to be through Pay Pal.

If you think about, this makes perfect sense.

Managed Payments does not have the right or the ability to access PayPal transactions that were not processed by Managed Payments.

Refund for return

Yeah, I think that is the deal. However, the refund is due like tomorrow, and it takes 2-3 days to go from my bank to Paypal.

I think I just got caught in an in-between time for the refund.  Had they given me a heads up I would have left money in Paypal for the refund, or taken care of it when it first happened.  Oh well......

Always leave money in Paypal. I heard if you don't have enough in checking they will try and get it causing Insufficient funds fees from the bank.

Less items for everyone to see..
