I do appreciate the free listings, but I am nervous about deferring fees because if there is a decline in sales, or the ability to get inventory it will only make things worse. Next month I will owe half this month and all of next month. I feel it would be more helpful for me to be able to stay current with my bills, but have them reduce fees instead of deferring our bills. Please drop our final value fees, it will go a lot farther in helping your sellers. It seems that a 10% fee by ebay is very high considering the fact we have to work that much harder to get buyers. eBay is still making the same money it is just been deferred, where we are reducing our prices to get more business. I have been on eBay since 2001.

I agree! This would be so helpful!

Unfortunately EBay appears not to be in business to be helpful & careing.
Would be nice 😀

deferred fee payments, free listings...not sure why all the ingratitude when eBay was not obligated to offer anything ...
Selling on eBay is a choice!
eBay offers sellers a platform upon which to offer/sell their wares...it is up to the seller to do what is best for them while using said platform
Sellers who choose to sell on eBay and then make it their necessity, are doing so because they made that choice....
there are choices in life and those choices need to be adjusted and adapted to whatever situations occur along the way.
Adjust, adapt and keeping moving along...
Stay calm and carry on as best as you can!

Many sellers are heading directly for bankruptcy but all ebay will do to help is delay the filing for a few weeks.
We're doing okay but reading the boards is like reading a Stephen King novel.

Thank you very much for your insight. But as I just looked at your profile you currently don't have any items for sale and are in Canada. You have different options up there. Unfortunately, that means that ebay is maybe a hobby or a place to make a purchase, not livelihood. Those of us that depend on it for income to take care of our families have a slightly different outlook. I do appreciate you expressing your opinion, as we all have that right, but it might not be as important to you as it is to some of us since buyers also don't pay fees only sellers.

The boards were doom and gloom long before this pandemic and will continue to be long after we're hopefully past it.
None of us are actual eBay employees, so I'm not sure why there's this outcry that eBay isn't doing as much for us as they should. It would be nice, absolutely, but it shouldn't be expected.

You had 200 sales since 3/5; the past 20 days. You had the same 200 sales from 2/5 to 3/4- so you're sales have increased since this CV19 started.
The $ you made selling from 2/5 to 3/5 , 10% was to be saved for end of month 10% invoice, so you take 90% from PP to your account and leave 10% in PP for the end of month invoice.
You should not be one to worry, pay the bill as normal and from the looks of your sales, you don't need help for this month or next month as well.

Perhaps you are new to the boards. Not everybody, including me, uses a seller account to post on the forums. Oh, and I've been here since 1998. Posting IDs are quite common, for any user posting on the boards, not just this one, and it is no indication of one's activity or tenure.

If you think this is all about me, you are wrong, I am looking out for the eBay community as a whole. Once again, replies from someone with no items for sale and zero feedbacks. I appreciate your opinion, but if this was your livelihood, your comments would mean something different. You have no idea what my costs are vs what I can put aside. I have been on ebay for almost 20 years. I am aware of the system, but thank for your insights.

Selling on eBay is my choice...
I do not have a store on eBay = my choice
I currently do not have any listings on eBay = my choice
I do not have a balance owing for fees = my choice - I made payment and have 0.00 balance
sellers who make eBay their main source of income made that choice
Choices need to be evaluated over time situations/changes occur...
It matters not the location/country of a seller. The C-virus affects are worldwide...
The options in my country are not so different than yours...store sellers are given deferred fee payments, 50,000 free listings.
Sellers are not "entitled" to more than what the selling platform offers, through good times and bad...and it is up to the seller to make whatever adjustments/changes necessary to make that platform work for them...

Don't get me wrong, this is bad situation for the WHOLE world and I do feel for sellers ALL sellers, but the pleas for more/more/more and the ingratitude for what has been offered thus far gives the feeling that it wouldn't matter what eBay did/does, it would never be enough because one can't satisfy everyone. There never will be any kind of agreement on anything eBay does.

There are probably more than just a few sellers who don't need you to look out for their interests. Some of us have a plan and are able and willing to pay their fees in a timely manner.
