Recently had an Item removed

I am a little confused.  I recently had one of my items removed because I was told that it is a restricted item.  However, I see multiple listings of the same item.  I was listing a Phone Sanitizer.  I was given multiple reasons such as I am a new seller and am restricted in what I can list.  I was told that the others may have permission to post the same item or that other sellers have been with Ebay for years.  Why is it that I am not allowed to sell this type of item and other are.  I am simply trying to start and grow my business,  it seems so unfair.  Any advice and thoughts would be appreciated.

Best advice is not to relist that item again here or your account could be suspended

Santizers are still a restricted item, of all types.   E-Bay heavily restricts the items and who can sell them.  Started when covid first hit, etc.

As mentioned above - do not relist.  They will just take it down again.

Ever since Covid-19 went viral, eBay has been worried about price gouging on hand sanitizer.   Thus the bots flag any listing with the word sanitizer.

Don't try to relist it as you will be banned from selling for life if you do.

I'm so sorry.  Things like masks and sanitizer are only allowed to be sold if you're a pre-approved seller because those items fall under the price gouging policy eBay has in place during the pandemic.

It appears your item cannot be listed on eBay because of the restrictions on COVID-related items. Products such as the one you described were restricted in March of 2020.

[UPDATE] Important information about listings associated with COVID-19 

Never judge what you can list based on what others have listed. Just follow eBay's policies and don't worry about anyone else. Their item listings can be taken down and/or their transactions can be cancelled by eBay, and you'd never know. "Why is it that I am not allowed to sell this type of item and other [sic] are" is a poor excuse for violating policies you are fully aware of.

Restricted items can be the subject of price gouging.  Most sellers allowed to sell restricted items were in business selling these items before covid hit.  They already had reliable sources so the items are less likely counterfeit or stolen.  There's millions of other things you can sell.  If you want to start a business consider selling what you 'know' weither it be books or clothes or electronics.

I greatly appreciate those that took the time to actually give me some helpful advice.  Also, for explaining as to why I am unable to sell certain items.  For those that like to spew negative comments, maybe they should pay less attention to what others are doing and be more aware of their own actions.
