Recent promotion for discounted FVF and recent sales

So I recently received a 10% off 5 sales over $100 listed before Wed, so I accepted. I have not listed anything yet, but I figured didn't hurt to accept it, and if I did list, it would only be a couple of items I have that would even sell that high, and if I don't use it, I missed out on $5. Big deal.

Then in the past 12 hours, I've had two random sales on items I've been sitting on for awhile. I knew they would sell eventually, and I have the room to store it, so I didn't mind sitting on them. But then after hardly anything, I get two sales right after another. Huh. Think it has to do with accepting the promotion? Like it moved me into a better position for views?

It's weird not to sell anything forever, and then sell two right away.

of course what follows is just my opinion...

just a coincidence, nothing to do with accepting the promo.

i sold an item today that i have been trying to sell for months.

i relisted it because of a free promo i got this week.

(i wouldn't have paid to relist it).

with time everything sells on ebay (well IF priced right).

You're right. It was probably the eclipse. lol. I just was thinking how many promotions I've passed up because I am not about to be listing 100 new things in a couple of days. All those sales I missed out on with the better placement....hahaha. Doesn't matter, I'll take it!

you could still accept the promos and just list a few things.

i always keep my unsold items around.

when i get a promo and have slacked off too much then i relist (use sell "similar") unsold items.

it costs me nothing and i get to re-list items i would not pay to re-list.

every time i sell a bunch of items, i have been trying to sell for months (even years... not kidding you).
