Recent issues with Germany and Digital selling

Hello all,

At the moment I am currently selling some digital goods I have. Now, these goods operate on an automated system, if someone buys a code it will send it to their messages upon payment. Now despite a few little issues with Vero claiming they are not originals, despite the fact that the codes are from an authorised reselling company whom I am affiliated with giving me permission to sell them.

Now most people are great and I have no issues with them, some people do not read the full details therefore some keys do not work because things like the Trial keys need new accounts for them to work on and the buyer will get them for an account they have had over a year. Making the key not work for them, but it still works for someone with the correct credentials, resulting in me giving them a full refund, losing the key because it has been exposed.

However, my biggest issue at the moment is buyers from Germany. This only happens with buyers of this country. What they have all done is buy a few keys at the same time, they pay for them, my system sends them the keys and then a few hours later I get a message saying that they have been hacked and did not authorise the purchase. So now I have disputes against my accounts because I'm being scammed. But there seems to be nothing I can do whatsoever.

Now I have made the automatic software not to release keys to any buyer who has either

1. Feedback less than 30

or

2. They have had an account for less than a month.

But does anyone have any experience with this and is there any protection I can put in place?

I have edited my adverts now and refused all sales from Germany but I have no option, it's a shame really.

Are you approved by eBay to sell digitally delivered items?

As a seller registered in the United Kingdom and concerned about buyers from Germany, you might have better luck with responses if you post this on your "home" board (ebay.co.uk). There may be some differences between ebay.com and ebay.co.uk we are not aware of but may impact responses.

Here's a link to the UK discussion boards:  https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Discussion/ct-p/13?nobounce=

Good luck!

You need legal advice rather than advice dealing with blocking buyers.
