They tried it once. Didn't really work out for them.

Do we have the option of another Ebay site, like when Ebay was actually a place where people went, thats not ran by any current Ebay degenerate?

What exactly would be different? I use different searches for my commodity newer stuff and my vintage collectibles. Is it the buyer protection? No buyer is going to go back to the old days when they could be ripped off then negged.
What exactly do you think would need to be changed?

True, I mean lets stay in the current day where the seller gets ripped off then neg'd. Sounds legit

Your answer did not answer my question. I asked WHAT specifically would be changed?

Oh I don't know
Maybe Sellers could set their own return policies
Maybe Sellers could control listing durations
Maybe Sellers could leave buyers feedback
Maybe the Search engine could actually work
Maybe Ebay could quit ripping people off with the FVF on shipping
Maybe Ebay could get Customer service
Maybe Ebay could give its sellers the Same treatment they expect from their sellers
Maybe Ebay could quit structing "promoted listing" money grabs
Maybe Ebay could quit penalizing sellers with higher FVF for things they can't control
Maybe Ebay could actually attract buyers
Maybe I could find something to buy like I used to be able to
Maybe the site wouldn't have so much Chinese junk
Maybe prices would be lower because sellers wouldn't have to build in the mountain of fees from Ebay
Maybe Sellers wouldnt have to be penalized for charging shipping
Maybe this messageboard wouldd have less "where have all my sales gone" posts
Maybe Ebay could show comparable GMV growth as related to its competitors
Maybe it could be ran by someone competent
Maybe Ebay wouldn't have an internet full of horror stories and bad reviews
I have more, should I continue

It's not enough to just complain about the status quo. You have to be able to name what you would change if someone started a new site. However that site would have to follow consumer protection laws and compete for buyers. For instance, I've spent over a quarter mil here in the last two decades but I will never again buy at a site where sellers can leave me negative feedback for something THEY did wrong.

I named a bunch. Not sure what "consumer protection laws" those would be breaking.
You know what else is against the law? Selling an item for 1k and having a buyer return a brick and getting their 1k back.
Ebay facilitates this by refunding, and if you are lucky enough to get law enforcement to do anything, which is rare, they have no proof either way.

But I also don't like selling on a site where buyers can leave me negative feedback for something they did wrong.
It works both ways.
Actually I think Feedback for both parties should go the way of the dinosaur.

And why on earth would any buyer go there????
When they already have eBay, and all the easy protections they're given here?
Many are only dreaming of a site, where sellers can treat buyers Any way they desire.....
But that does Not attract buyers.
Buyers.
You know, the ones with the money.

There is already More eCommerce sellers, than total number of buyers.
To get them, you must Compete with Everyone else.
With every other website.
That's how business works.
I've seen nothing on this thread, that would entice a buyer to leave eBay.

Judging by Ebays numbers and the amount of "I'm getting no sales" posts on these messageboards those buyers surely aren't coming here to spend that "money." I guess thats why Ebays competitors are showing double digit growth while Ebay comes up with more distasteful money grabs.

I don't believe the numbers show that.
There's probably 100 complaints a week
(ok, let's say 1000)
How many successful sales per day, eBay-wide?
