Hello fellas
I keep seeing people referring others to social media for answers from Ebay. Here is my experinece: I created account for just that and Ebay reported me and blocked my account . This time with different issue I messaged from my private account almost 24h ago and crickets. I really think it is not right for Ebay to answer questions only through social media. I don’t think I have to give up my privacy and show my face , interests and friends on social media to get answers and I don’t like that after surrendering to surveillance you are still being ignored and not getting any follow up. Customer service is really bad.
How long do you wait for Ebay to respond to your question on Facebook? Is weekend different?
PS I like shopping and selling on Ebay.

8 minutes later, a reply came from rep who sent a validation link in order to identify myself and my account.
Was that link they sent you a secure link? Some of the questions I've seen on the Ebay Facebook page have been from people wondering why that link was not https

I have never had an issue reaching out to CS on facebook. In fact, quite the opposite, most helpful and VERY responsive.
The link was to agree to use messenger and I did.
They do ask to verify your account ID and the email associated with your account.
I had responses the same day, each time. It is NOT instant messaging. If you need to speak with someone ASAP, use online Chat.
If you want elevated CS, use social media.
And I do not do facebook and had to create an account to interact. I have received no emails, no spam. No idea what your issues as outlined stem from.
And you can remove the solution. Go to the solution post, use drop down menu, select uncheck solution.

UPDATE
I received response through Facebook but they weren’t able to help me. I was told to wait till deadline and escalate. I dread escalating. I asked how is escalating going to help and I didn’t get answer because they don’t know what the system will allow them to do during escalation.
for those that like to know: I asked for refund deadline extension to accomodate post office mail search timeline. Package was mailed during bad weather and so there is a sort of seller protection that I don’t know what it involves apart from protecting seller from bad feedback. I was told on Facebook I will be protected but I don’t know how and from what.

If the package has shown movement in the past 10 days, all you need to do is upload the tracking number to the case and you will automatically get an extension.

This is what the tracking shows . Not sure if it qualifies for extension. She didn’t give me any on Facebook.

No idea how true this is, but I have read on the boards that initiating a search as you have done sometimes helps get the package moving - here's hoping.

It's worked like that twice for me, and also not two times. So 50%...worth a shot though.
