MY DAD HAD AN ACCOUNT ON EBAY FOR TEN YEARS WITH A FEEDBACK SCORE OF OVER 6000 SELLING MOSTLY DVDS AND VIDEO GANES,THE STORE ,FEED UR DRAGON WAS RUN BY MY DAD UNTIL HE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A AORTIC  ANEURYSM AND REQUIRED SURGERY TWICE AND BECAUSE IT WAS DURING COVID HE WAS STUCK IN THE HOSPITAL FOR THEREE WEEKS AND THEN ANOTHE THREE  

THEN ANOTHER THREE WEEKS IN A NURSING HOME LEARNING TO WALK AGAIN. BECAUSE WE COULD NOT CONTACT EACH OTHER AND HE WAS COMATOSE I DID NOT  REQUEST TIME AWAY AND CLOSE THE ACCOUNT.WHEN HE FINA;LLY RETURNED HOME IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM TO CATCH UP ON SALES THAT WERE MADE AND LISTING THAT WERE RELISTED BY EBAY.AS A RESULT EBAY RESTRICTED HIS ACCOUNT AND STOPPED HIM FROM SELLING WITHOUT HIM HAVING ANY OPPORTUNITY TO APPEALED THE RESTRICTION.WHEN HE CONTACTED TO ASK IF HE COULD RESUME SELLING SOMETIME EBAYS RESPONSE WAS NO AND CLOSED  WITH A  FLAT NO..

Very sorry for your situation and hope your dad has made a full recovery.  Unfortunately, eBay is not very sympathetic concerning personal issues.  What I can suggest where Dad's account is concerned is to reach out on social media to the following link I'm going provide for you:

These US CS agents who are employed by eBay and been known to be very helpful.  Many positive posts on this forum concerning a positive outcome.  Reach out to them today and let them know your issue.

Very sorry that happened. Ultimately eBay is a business and they are not known to forgive medical emergencies when orders cannot be fulfilled. I hope you'll be able to achieve a favorable outcome for yourself but in the meantime maybe others can take note: If a trusted loved one runs an eBay store, have their username and password written down/handy in case of something like this. Clearly when seller metrics take a dive they can really lay down the hammer.
