Quick question.

It's been a long time since I sold anything here. Just wondering how local pickup works as far as getting payment confirmation back to e-bay. I don't own a smart phone so I would not be able to scan a q-code. The magazines (12 issues at a time) I plan to list would be way too heavy to ship. I figure local pickup would be the best way to go. Thanks for any help you can give.

Proof of pickup

Proof of pickup is required to protect you against item not received cases. 

For proof of pickup you can:

• use the eBay app to scan the QR code the buyer received through email
• manually enter the 6-digit code the buyer received through email in My eBay or Seller Hub

To scan the QR code:

1. Go to Selling on the eBay app.
2. Go to the Orders tab.
3. Select the Arrange Pickup banner.
4. Tap the Scan to confirm pickup button.

If the buyer doesn't have the QR code available, ask them for the 6-digit code they received through email and manually enter it in My eBay or Seller Hub.

When the purchase is made the buyer receives a code. You must ask for that code upon pick up. Let them know before they arrive you need the code. You would then manually type in that code in the box were it says arrange for pick up. They give you an option to scan the code or manually put it in. You would need to manually put it in which means you would need access to a computer upon them arriving. Do not allow the buyer to leave until you manually put this code in and it says "picked up."
