We don't have a lot of international sales and we were wondering how to increase sales in those areas. Also, how do you handle international shipping and what items sale best international?
Any advice would help. Thanks.

I actually found it cheaper using a UK eBay shop that has 1500 free fixed price listings even though I don't live in UK now I have heaps of UK buyers. The shop fee is around 70 pounds a month I think then the fees are normal like in the USA eBay but in pounds and pence. I don't mind getting paid in pounds it seems to convert to more $.
I should also point out I offer free shipping and mail items the old fasioned way with stamps, but that's easy as they are old letters from the 19th century or earlier.
I also extend the shipping time 13 to 22 days to avoid defects

I have seen in quite a few places that if you starting to sell internationally, Japan is recommended as one of the better or safer places (along with the U.K., Australia and Canada). I know there hasn't been a Japanese eBay for over ten years... since 2004, I think. How do Japanese see a U.S. listing? By going to either the U.S. eBay site or another country's ebay site? That has to be the way, right?

I didn't know that about Ebay.jp - I buy and sell stuff to Japan all the time.

Never sold a single thing International using this extra .50c eBay feature, so I am removing it for any future listings.
I would very much like to hear from more people who have used it with success
That's just a one time extra 50 cents ? if so then it might be at least worth a try . The sellers who have had success with it I would assume had stuff that more appealed to buyers overseas . Other than Americana , Disney , Hollywood themes and items etc etc ,, I have no idea what else they might be based on their current trends . Tulips

I haven't been able to find anywhere where I have been charged to sell international. I mainly sell Ebay.com with option to ship overseas. I don't think I am specifically ON Ebay.uk but my stuff shows up to buyers there and in many other countries.

I offer a continental breakfast with every purchase. Nothing attracts Europeans like croissants and pre-packaged jellies.
