Putting Pictures in description

Hello

I've added some http links to some pictures hosted on imgbox so they appear in the description to get over the 12 photo image limit  and now see there is a warning that external links are not allowed?

Am i doing this correctly and if not how should it be done ?

While on the site, I also checked the site's terms of service (TOS). Many free sites require the link code remain intact, otherwise violating their terms of service. There was no such requirement, so stripping the links would be the way to go.

Personally, I don't think supporting a porn website is the way to go.

That is just skanky.

They're not a porn site. People just upload very questionable photos and the google ads have gotten a bit tasteless.

I have the same problem with my photo stitching site. Fortunately, I don't allow ads. Occasionally, I get a rash of uploads that would make one puke, but I can't control that, and legitimate sellers use the site to manipulate their photos. At least my site does not make a public display of prior uploads and all uploads are swept out the next day.  I've shortened the lifespan as much as possible to let sellers complete your jobs, and still clear out the trash.

Oddly, aside from seller uploads, many of the uploads to my site are Indian KYC documents that they're stitching together for some registration, and for a long time (before the lockdown) there was a run of asian foodie displays, while the ongoing questionable photos are usually middle aged women trying to look like a hustler "spread" (puke factor here).  It is actually sad and pathetic. 😞

I used the tool to strip out the links hopefully it has worked ok, only they still flag as having external links in seller console? perhaps it takes time for flags to clear if I've done it right?

I can see from the revision history that the description has been edited, but it doesn't look like the links were removed.  It can sometimes take a little time for revisions to index, and being Sunday, it may take a little longer. If you don't see any change within the hour, it may not have been handled correctly.

The flags are still there.  Is it as simple as clicking on filtered with default settings and then clicking revise?

Or am I missing something like declicking the links button on the filtered text page?

It's not as simple as "just clicking".  Instead, there is a copy/paste in there.

  1. Go to the "Filtered" tab on the tool and copy the repaired code.
  2. Click the "Revise" button on the filtered tab to open your listing.
  3. Switch eBay's description editor to "HTML" view.
  4. Delete all the code in eBay's "HTML" view and paste the code copied from the "Filtered" tab.
  5. Then save your listing.
