Promoted listings standard

I promoted my items at 6 % fixed on pls. This morning when I went to remove a listing from that pls campaign the percentage showed as 6-10 % ad fee even though it showed as a fixed 6% percent ad fee campaign. Why would eBay take it upon themselves to add a sliding scale of 4% more when the screenshot I have of it says 6% fixed?

If eBay calls your 6% within the 6%-10% Range , it's true, no? I don't promote, but that makes sense... 🤔

check through your listings detailed for that campaign

The range is simply a "recap" of what is in your campaign. Somewhere there must be a promoted item for 10%

I occasionely see that when I inadvertently put a higher promotion item in the wrong campaign..or just plain mess up...

in face, I just found one where I messed up checking on this for you on one of my accounts

others just say 6%,  none have ever showed a range till this morning. even some of the individual listings listings showed as 10% ad rate. if its fixed at 6% and in the listings being promoted some show as 10%. that isnt correct.

Wow. Thanks for the information. It seems to be a big push for promotions within a weeks time.

I am thinking about it but I was just thinking of listings and lot more items and reducing prices vs. promoting.

Maybe I will promote a couple promoted items if my sales don't pick up.

You have 226 listings promoted. If 225 are at 6% and one listing is at 10% it will show 6%-10%. You must have one or more listings set at 10%. You can easily click on "update" and set them all to 6% fixed ad rate.

Exactly right....I have a couple different campaigns. I nicknamed one "extreme percentage" for testing and I set a double digit percentage and they should all go into that campaign.

It was in another (low limit) campaign, and that title showed the "Range" of 1.8%  - 17%, with the 17% accidentally entered into that campaign. All the listing in that campaign 'should be' between 1.8% and 3.0%.....

There is no 'sliding scale' in a fixed listing.....

Chalk 1 up for human error....hahaha

I can promise you that eBay makes millions everyday on human errors, by design.
