Promoted listing fees

My store niche is toys and a lot of my toys sell for around 2-5 dollars, and to promote an auction listing like this cost 2 dollars making it not worth it and not promoting it I get very few views. I've tried listing as bin and using that promo but didn't get many views either. What am I doing wrong, all my listings have 10 pictures,70 word listing with key words and competitive prices. I have combined shipping but I'm not sure if customers know because sometimes they way overpay on shipping. I'm new to selling and it seems like a catch 22 sometimes

@des602915 Selling online isn't as easy as some TV commercials show. You just have to list your items and wait. Wait for someone interested in your item to come along. Wait for someone who chooses your item over another similar listing. Wait until the timing is right and you get a transaction.

Your listings look fine, and you have some great cars listed. You may have just found a future customer in me. I also sell many vintage toys and I have never once used promoted listings. While my sales are down, they are down for everyone now that stores have opened up again. It's a timing thing. You list an item and simply have to wait until it sells. Your toys will sell, just probably not as easily as you'd like. Hang in there. Best of luck to you....
