Promoted Listings is a DISASTER!!

At the behest of ebay. I started a new promotional listings campaign which added to the unreasonable promotion fees I was already paying. Since changing half of my listings my sakes have dropped by 50%. Now I'm trapped. If I cancel the campaign I'm sure my sales would probably go away altogether. I have been a solid seller for over a decade. What a disappoint. Time to make a change. I can't even get anybody on the phone to discuss. EBay used to be seller friendly.

Promoted listings is a VOLUNTARY program.  Ebay does not require it and Ebay does not set the percentage of additional FVFs you are willing to pay.

If you don't like it, end the promotion.  You sold things before promoting items, you will sell stuff afterwards.

Some sellers find that promoted listings work very well for them and other sellers do not.  There is no right or wrong answer, you just need to do what is best for you.

A promoted listing campaign takes seven days to activate according to ebay own words. You only pay the fee if the item sells that way. Have you been consistently listing daily? You've 376 positive reviews in a month that's better sales than many other sellers have been getting lately. The negative reviews on your account however a building up. I also buy on ebay if I saw that many negs on a sellers account on an item I was looking at I would not buy from that seller.

You can't accurately just look at the number of negative FB and say that is too much.  You need to take into consideration how many transactions there were in the same period.  Unfortunately all we can see is the number of transactions that have Feedback and that is likely on about 20% or less of their total transactions.

But even if you went by the straight numbers on the FB page, they only have about 1% negative FB.  If you were to take into consideration all their transaction that percentage would be nothing but a very small fraction of that 1%.
