Promoted Listings Impressions and Views DEAD Down 99% (3rd time in a year)

Hello, I am having a major issue with that is affecting my sales and business. Since Jan 21st, my promoted listings impressions and views have dropped by 99%. This is not an exaggeration. Since this date I have not had 1 sale via promoted listings. Before this probably 40% of my items sold were via promoted listings. This is a major slowdown for my less popular items as they are getting absolutely no views. When i search my items on ebay under incognito mode or another device, sometimes my items are nowhere to be found with major keywords in the title matching. This is a major issue ebay and I am not happy at all.

Now the even bigger issue that was discovered is that this is the THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN LESS THEN A YEAR!! As you can see below in the month of January 2021, November 2021, and January 2022, this exact issue has happened with absolutely no help from the ebay customer support. It has randomly gone back but who knows when it was or after what phone call i finally made to customer service.

Now currently I have spoken to Ebay customer service a total of 6 times with absolutely no help. I've "Refreshed my account". I have ended my campaigns and created new ones. I have tried automated. I have ended my items and relisted. I feel like i have tried everything and EBAY has offered absolutely no help. Now I can only hope someone is out there who has dealt with this issue and can offer some support. Thanks.

I have had this same issue a few times and have not been able to get anyone to explain it. One thing I have heard is that listings older than 3-4 months don't get pushed up for views. Someone told me to end and relist after making even a minor change in the title. Not sure if this may be an issue for you but just a suggestion. I manually relist after 4-6 months making a title or photo change.  It's also like Youtubers. If you want to stay high visibly, then you need to upload a new video daily. I believe this to be true also on eBay. I tested this out a few weeks ago as I normally only list once a week. I listed 4-6 items every day of the week for 2 weeks. Sure enough, my promo results went through the roof and so did my sales.  Good luck!

How old are these campaigns?

I would end them and wait 24 hours and re-launch new campaigns.  Seems to always work for us.  Also, I always give my campaigns an END date.  Seems to work poorly when you do not.

Also, as @oldwestgold mentioned, listing every day will also drive sales - at least it does for us.

Will try and create a new campaign with a ending time. Still no improvement. Listing new items everyday still. Just really annoyed eBay does absolutely nothing about this known problem.

 This is just sad eBay. Almost exactly 1 year apart. Absolutely No and I mean NO SUPPORT.

I have switched pics around in listings that were single digits for weeks,  not new ones just switched around.. 13 views first hour sold first day...odd

If your selling random items in clothing sales can be very slow and you may need a higher than trending ad rate to fix the issue. As others suggested end the current pl and re start new campains.

No solution so far. Been almost 2 months smh. eBay customer service is useless. If my impressions do return on the 20th as they did the prior year, then there is something major really messed up with eBay.

Don't feel alone.  I was running around 1.5mil to 1.7mil impressions.  In the same time frame you are stating we have dropped to 700k.  Its the platform not you.  My customers are buying computer parts and that are somewhat out of the past or current economy issues.  Our sales have never dropped off in the past years.  However since 9/21/21 we notice a decline and from the beginning of this year a steep decline in sales and impressions.  Does not matter if you promote a listing this is the new eBay gold standard of selling, take more in fees and allow the Seller to sell less.  Short term gains for long term pains.

Send Offers doesn't seem to help either.  You can't send offers to items with no watchers, and those (very few) watchers have to be watching because they're buyers and not because they want to see the sale price.  

I think I know the problem - we're not selling cards or sneakers or high-end watches.

PLs (standard) had been off for many of us over the past 35-45 days.  Changed for us drastically after the Spring Update/early April.

Started on a thread on this earlier in the week - This past week, we ended all of our open campaigns.  We typically do not run "continuous" ones - we have an "end date", but I ended all of ours early.  

Waited a few hours and launched all new campaigns from scratchy.

Woke up the next morning to 11 orders between 2 accounts and while, "slow" we have had orders every day since.  

Still not Utopian, but our impressions are back, etc.  Sales slowly coming back.  Good luck to everyone!
