Promoted Listing

So Ive been using promoted listings to bring more people to my ebay store.   I have not receive one sale from this, but money is deducted everyday for the clicks.  It has only been two weeks.   Should I turn it off or try it for the month.   Would love to leave others thoughts if they use this option.

@maddieon6

Hi Maddie

If it's not working out for you, I would end the promotions.  Use your social media to network what you are selling.  It's worked for me in the past.

Good luck to you.

I never use the pay per click promotion. Seems like a waste of money IMO

I use Promoted listings standard @ 2%. I only pay if my item sells. So far it's done pretty well for me.

Thank you.  Will do that.

Two weeks is probably too short of time to confirm whether it is working or not. I would give it a month.

Like a few others here noted, I would turn it off. I tried a year ago and after costing me $20 in just one day for only a few clicks/no sales, that was enough for me. Good luck.

You have to think like a "retail store" when promoting. I put only my high price items promoted...not everything. High price items don't sell quickly...thus no fees until they are sold...But having items promoted on other sellers pages will get you notice and you might get lookers looking in your store.

Cheap stuff will always sell if its cheap enough.

The promoted listing cost me almost $200 less than a month of use and no sales, so an expensive lesson learned.

I'll promote standard to some extent.
I think the advanced is a waste of money, unless it directs people to your store or website (which it doesn't).

End the promotions.

If you use PL, go only with the standard where you choose the fee (I go with the minimum 2%) and that is only due when the item actually sells.

I find PL brings in eyeballs, but my actual sales of PL items is lower than sales of non-PL, as a percentage.

I think customers are pulled in by PL, but then shop for a bit and buy something else.

But again, I only pay when it sells.
