Promoted Listing Campaigns

When creating or revising a listing I have been playing around with promoted listing. I thought I might give it a try on some of my more common items.

What is the “Select a Campaign” box for and how should I use it?

You can choose what % more you want to pay for your items to be promoted.
You can choose the trending rate.
You can choose the duration.

Thank you. I get the rates, the percentage and what I will pay. But there is a drop down box for campaign, all it shows is default. What is it defaulting to? Is there somewhere I need to go to set options?

On the date, just hi-lite the date and enter todays date, The default date is the last time you promoted something.

You know all of my items are promoted and I was investigating its worth this morning. I have a item with maybe 3 others listed on eBay and while I was signed out and clicked on another 2 of those items that where not mine where advertised at the top of that listings page with other items that where not even the same.

I will be looking into this further to decide if promoting a item on eBay is of any value at all other then giving up more money to Ebay.

i have been told by local sellers and have read off site discussions about promoted listings being as affective as non promoted.

with that 1 example it is leading me to think what I am hearing and reading may be valid.
